Our estate wines
On the estate, yields are low, less than 35hl/ha.
Our old Gamay vines are on average 50 years old, and evolve in a restrictive environment: everything is in place to produce great wines

The estate’s 6 key terroirs
Our exclusive location on Moulin-à-Vent allows a detailed understanding of the geological and climatic contexts. For 12 years, we have identified 6 great terroirs, whose individualities we nurture. They are called “Le Moulin-à-Vent”, “Les Thorins”, “Aux Caves”, “Les Vérillats”, “Champ de Cour” and “La Rochelle”. Located within a 300 meters radius around the Château, they are in the finest part – the middle and upper part – of the appellation. They each express themselves in our single-vineyard selection wines, in which the power of the terroir and the impact of the vintage are our only vectors.
Our single-vineyard selection wines
Three in number, the parcel selections of the estate are the expressions of their terroir of origin.
“Les Vérillats”, 4.41ha: located 300 meters above sea level in the middle of a wind corridor, on very sandy and shallow soils (25-50cm). The wines are characterised by their charm and audacity.
“Champ de Cour”, 3.28 ha: located 200 meters high, on slightly stony grounds and sheltered from the winds. The wines combine power and elegance.
“La Rochelle”, 4.21 ha: neighbour of “Vérillats”, facing south at an altitude of 280 meters, on granites rich in silica and clay. The wines are multidimensional, complete, and can be austere in their youth.
Our micro-cuvées
Rare and exceptional cuvées, our 2 micro-cuvées tell a story. The “Clos de Londres” is located on the “Le Moulin-à-Vent” terroir, at the foot of the windmill.
With vines adjoining the Château, this 0.56-hectare plot produces wines of great energy and is a tribute to Philiberte Pommier.
The “Grands Savarins” plot (0.72 hectares) is located on the “Aux Caves” terroir, one of the iconic terroirs of the appellation and produces racy wines.
“In order to make great wines, every detail counts” is Édouard and Brice’s leitmotif. Each of their choices, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, is guided by close observation of the vine, the terroirs, the vintage.
Blended cuvées, the essence of Moulin-à-Vent
Blends from different Moulin-à-Vent terroirs, these two cuvées are Brice and Édouard’s interpretations.
Gamay’s expression on our granite soils, the Couvent des Thorins is a fresh, fruity and accessible wine. The Château du Moulin-à-Vent cuvée is our reference cuvée, and our interpretation of what a great Moulin-à-Vent is for the given vintage: structured, fine and elegant.
